Fitbit Air – Google’s Invisible Gift to Health Monitoring Without Hyper Notifications

How many times have you shifted in the bed and been disturbed by your smart watch either blinking or lighting up altogether and providing you with unnecessary information that lit up half the room and were absolutely unnecessary? If you have read through that sentence you have understood how difficult all that blinking and nightlights can be to handle. So Fitbit Air has been a gift to those who do not want unnecessary alerts and yet want their health to be monitored 24/7.

You will find Fitbit air the most unintrusive health monitoring wearable device you have ever seen. This one is hardly visible, infact, once you have started using it, you will hardly remember it. It is only 0.05 grams and with the band it is 0.12 grams. Plus, the versatility of this health monitor is that there is a certain anonymity to it. There are different colors available as a choice, wherein you can change for your outfit, but you need not wear it on your watch wrist. Instead, it hides in the ensemble and you can still enjoy your special watch without seeming like you are wearing another watch.

Fitbit Air is not a watch, it is only a small pebble without a screen, Fitbit Air has no screen, precisely why it works great for people who do not need another screen added to their lifestyle. This is excellent to be in the moment and concentrate on your work at hand. The Fitbit Air can record every movement all day, however, it has some shortcomings which you should know about.

  1. If your lifestyle depends on a fitness watch this is not the watch for you. This is silent and does not automatically shift to the necessary tracking depending on activity. For example, it will take all health metrics all day, including when you are running or doing yoga, so you will have to tell it that you are doing those particular activities so it does not mark accelerated pulse or heart rate.
  2. It does not give you hands on information. In fact, to know about health you have to have an app installed on your phone, which you can check at your leisure or available time. This is real time tracking but via the phone.
  3. No GPS – If you are a jogger and you want to map the route or you have done so on your phone and sent it to the watch, it cannot tell you the route or show the map since it has no screen. For such purpose you are better off with another Fitbit with screen and features like GPS.
  4. It is valued at $99, which is a fair price for the fitness pebble. With this if you choose Google subscription, you will not have to stare at blank data, instead you can actually ask Gemini or rather Google Health Coach to guide you and ask questions like you would consult another person. This way you can get a better idea of how your health is performing and you can also get answers for some questions. Though if necessary you should ask a physician.
  5. Overall, Fitbit Air is just the perfect gadget for people who life less physically intense or fitness targeted life. This one gadget can silently give you all the necessary data without pinging all the time.

So in conclusion, Google Fitbit Air is a small pebble like wearable device which keep a watch over your health. It has all the features of a Fitbit but without those for intense workout and a screen. It is comforting piece of technology with all benefits and no lighting up with continuous alerts. It also allows you to check your health at leisure. Instead of spending hours wondering what a particular thing means, you can simply take a paid subscription to Google Health and ask questions real time and get all the reports analysed. This can be a simple question answer session, wherein the AI can explain all the terminologies as well as the chart readings.
